Today in #JusJoJan we have “Coffee” suggested by Barbara at Teleportingweena. Thanks Barbara!
AHHHH Coffeeee…I’ve been drinking coffee since I was at least a teen. My parents wouldn’t let me drink it when I was too young but probably around the age of 13 or so I guess they figured I could handle it. Now I drink at least 3 large cups every morning, low fat or fat free milk, no sugar. Once I hit midday though, I’m done and I switch to water or tea.
For 18 years of our married life my husband worked for Sara Lee in the Coffee and Tea division. We never had to pay for coffee during all that time and he would come home smelling SO good. My favorite from that time was a mocha blend. Haven’t been able to find a good one since he stopped working there. What a shock it was to have to buy coffee for the first time! It’s expensive!
I love having big mugs to use and here are some of my favorites:

My daughter brought this one for me when Disneyland and I both turned 60. |

A good motivational one to start the day. |

My other daughter made this one for me. |

Sometimes I drop a chocolate mint marshmallow in it for that minty flavor! YUMMM |

And that’s my take on “coffee.” How about you? Coffee or tea? Flavored or regular? Sugar or no sugar? Share and please visit the other participants in #JusJoJan if you have time.

What a lovely selection of mugs. And how sweet to get notes from your hubby.

Yes Wendy, he does things like that more often than I do for him. I am lucky!

Thanks for writing to the ‘coffee’ prompt word! I like your coffee mugs, and the gift card holder is so cute! 🙂 We always send my daughter a Starbucks gift card for Christmas, and this would be a great way to present it. Chocolate mint marshmallows? I must find some. 🙂

They are called SmashMallows and they come in delightful flavors. Mint chocolate chip is just one. They have also a lemon one, a root beer flavored one, strawberries and cream too. I found them at our Safeway.

Super cute gift card holder! Love it!
I was a barista at Starbucks when my wee ones were in diapers. I was up at 4, at work by 5, and home by noon to nap with them before the big kids came home. It got us through some rough times, and the free coffee was a serious perk, but I wouldn’t recommend it long term, Whew! Working for a distributor is DEFINITELY the way to go!

Yeah, I couldn’t get up that early to do work. I am a night person. He was a mechanic so he worked on all the grinding and packing machines. Those were the good old days.

COFFEE!!! Unfortunately, my husband doesn’t drink coffee (I think there is something seriously wrong with him) so it’s up to me to make it every day.

I definitely drink more than my husband but he has been known to make a pot if he gets up before I do. I am a lucky girl!

You all are certainly a coffee family, Janet! I love coffee to, but I typically drink one HUGE mug during the week and switch to water. On the weekends, I might have more coffee followed by tea chasers. 🙂

Yes, I rarely drink coffee at night unless I’m having cake. Then coffee to dunk it in!

Coffee is one of my favorite flavors. I am currently drinking a chocolate coffee from The Cocoa Experience but I still have some Dunkin’ Donuts Pumpkin Spice K-cups too. Flavored coffee is preferred.

We don’t have a make by the cup model coffee maker and hubby thinks that if I make a pot of flavored coffee the flavor stays in the maker too long (I don’t agree but whatever). I buy Starbucks Via’s if I want a flavored cup or two. Pumpkin spice sounds delish.

You’ve obviously got coffee in the genes! Love that your husband leaves you little gifts ❤
I also like coffee but try and limit how much I drink so now it's a treat

I am prone to headaches so if I went too long without the caffeine in the morning I think it would trigger one…at least that’s what I tell everyone!
