Fiddlin’ February – 2018

Fiddlin’ around the grocery store the other day and I saw this:

I had to stop and do a double take.  Who would actually sell moldy bread and, what an interesting pattern the mold made!
Upon closer inspection, this is what it really is:

Not being a fan of either green tea or red beans, I’m pretty sure I would not like this bread, even if it was warm with lots of butter on it.  Also, at 200 calories a slice it’s almost a meal by itself.
How about you?  Like green tea and red bean bread?  Find anything interesting when you were fiddlin’ around the grocery store lately?  Share!

Never heard of this bread. Don’t like the looks of it. With that many calories per slice, what the heck does it taste like? I think I’ll pass, thank you very much.

  2. Janet,

Yikes, I can see the confusion this would cause at first glance. The uniform swirls told me otherwise but no idea what it was until I looked at your next pix. You’d think they’d make the product more appealing. lol

Yes, Cathy, I knew it wasn’t really moldy but other than mint, I was having trouble thinking of what ingredient it could be. Maybe something like basil would be good if they need a green color. I also was thinking of the Seuss story “Green Eggs and Ham.”

  3. Yeah…there’s no way I’d eat that bread just by appearance alone. šŸ™‚

  6. Not my bag either. Maybe some cinnamon toast but no weird stuff in my bread!
