It is not usual for me to have two posts in one day but I do want to keep up with the Tell It Color project so here goes:
Today’s prompt is Water. I am a Pisces so water is my element, a phrase I said a lot when my husband and I were first dating. Whenever we went to the beach, which was a lot more often then, I’d rush into the water and proclaim “I am a Pisces and water is my element.” It felt so good to feel the waves lapping at my feet. I hardly ever actually swam out into the ocean as I was too afraid of undertow but I did usually end up getting totally wet.
When we married, we were overlooking the deep blue of Lake Tahoe. It was glorious.
I’ve said before that we live between the Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco Bay and last year we were treated to a boat ride by one of our friends:

I think the splashing of the waves is my favorite part. I love watching it hit the rocks and the sound it makes. I really get a sense of peace and it seems to fill me with and inspiration and delight.
And then there is the water a little closer to home:

I am a fire sign, and I looooove water. I swim a lot and bathe frequently, I love lakes and rivers and the beach (but I don’t like to be hot.) Still, there’s something to be said for being in your element. My element is probably the forest, in drizzly rain 🙂 – but still, fire sign!

I can see you as a fire sign, Joey. Technically we should not be friends, although I love sitting in front of a nice warm fire on a rainy day. 🙂

I have only ONE Pisces in my life. We’ve been friends since 1993 – but he’s the only one 🙂

I, too, am a Pisces and love to be near water. While in the desert, I felt out of sorts and it dawned on me that I wasn’t near a water source. I think I need it for my own sanity and creativity. It’s not just the sounds as you described, but the smell. I think it also has to do with motion and movement. It makes me feel more centered. Loved this post! 🙂

You are new to my blog, so probably haven’t seen the numerous photographs I have posted of reflections in our New Forest pools, and coastal areas, but that is my water story. I like yours

Yes, I imagine I will explore your blog as time goes on. Thanks!

I have a water thing of sorts. But as your blog is pg 13, we’ll end it at that…..

LOL – Yes, my kids read this from time to time so I tend to keep it to the less graphic version of every story. Some things are better left to personal reflection and if I brought a good water story to your mind, then I’ve done my job.
