Making Memories in May – 2018

Last month with the A to Z I didn’t make time to participate in the Escapist Coloring Club as hosted by Linda G. Hill.  I’m sharing here a few of the things I’ve colored in the last month.

These are 6 x 8 inch prints that I plan to try to incorporate into my scrapbooking and card making.  I can cut them down a bit to fit as card focals and add a sentiment.

This one I can imagine using in a scrapbook layout with either a picture in the white space or using that space to do some journaling.  Now I just need to go on a vacation to some island to have pictures that would work with it – LOL.

Sometimes I like doing these because I can finish one or two of them while watching a movie.  If I have to stop in the middle of coloring a larger picture I forget what colors I’m using!  (Maybe because I have too many pencils and markers?)

As with all blog-hops, make sure to stop by and check out some of the other colorers!

What a wonderful idea to use them for cards! I love the first one, but then I’m a sucker for blue flowers. 😀
As for remembering which colours I’m using, because my calendar is so big and I can only do so much at a time, I use sandwich bags to keep my current colours in, so they don’t get mixed up with the rest. 😀
Thanks so much for joining in, Janet! ❤

  4. Have you heard of the Unity Stamp Company? My sis-in-law got me hooked–such beautiful stamps. I’ve been playing around making some notecards to give away, but they still look amateurish (not nearly as beautiful as yours). I need to practice–I find I really enjoy doing it (even if they’ll just sit around in a box!).

I have heard of Unity Stamps but don’t have any. I had a hard time with stamps until I got my stamp platform and then it was SO much easier because I could re-stamp if it wasn’t quite dark enough and if I want to add layers it is so simple because you are not moving the paper, just swapping the stamp. You could start your own Etsy site 🙂

  5. Those are gorgeous. Since all I do anymore is write (well, I walk the dog too because he’s a nag), I’ll enjoy your creativity without participating. Sigh.

Those are very pretty! I see what you mean about outlining with marker, then filling in with pencil. Looks great! 🙂

Pretty. If I color anything, I use large images with a few colors. Much easier, and doable, for me. But you… you got it going on.
