Each year for the past couple of years it has been my practice to take a selfie and a picture of the full moon each month. Here are the ones from this year:
January had two full moons and an eclipse!
This is from the eclipse:
The kids make fun of me because I always have my eyes closed in pictures taken of me. Apparently I can’t even keep my eyes open when I take my own picture!
There was no full moon in February because March had two of them and apparently I didn’t take a picture of me either! Here are March’s moons. The first one reminds me that baseball is coming soon!
April
Yay, it’s baseball season!
I don’t know how but I missed May’s full moon. Here is me in May:
This is June:
In July I caught Venus with the moon!
July’s full moon.
August
September. I think this looks like a bird in front of it don’t you? It’s a tree branch.
October
November
December
Do you try to catch the full moon every month? Make any wishes? Take many selfies? Share!

It does look like a bird. I always love when I see the moon and Venus together. I saw it a lot more when I lived in Georgia. Your moons are wonderful, I can never get them like you do.
I like your selfies best in May, then June — you look happiest in those š But oh, I do love the hat and scarf there at the end — super cute!

I keep a copy of each picture in my planner for the year. It will be interesting to see in five years or so.

That’s such a cool idea! I do catch the moon every month, but I’ve never been good at photographing it. Thanks for sharing your photos!

That’s such a fun tradition! I love all your selfies and moon shots. Your smiles always make me smile. Years ago when I got a new camera I was convinced I should learn how to take selfies, it didn’t work. Then when I wanted to document my going gray journey, I took up the hobby again. Still can’t do it well, but a year of daily photos, you sorta get the hang of it. At least you stop trying too hard! Happy 2019 to you!!

LOL you should see me when I’m in selfie mode. I take about 10 to 15 pictures before I’m happy with one! Kind of defeats the purpose now that I think about it and probably why I look the same all the time. I think this year I’ll be a little less particular! Happy 2019 to you too Shelley. Looking forward to reading some more of your wonderful blog posts.

Thanks Derrick. I started doing it to see if I changed much during the year and I guess I don’t but I am able to catch the moon in some different perspectives.
