I think I found a song that will work for both Song Lyric Sunday (ocean/sea/lake/bay) and Love is in Da Blog’s “kitsch” love song. To be honest, I had to look up what kitsch meant. Hopefully I got it right.
Sea of Love
My love
To the sea
The sea of love
How much
I love you
When we met
That’s the day
I knew you were my pet
How much
I love you
What do you think? Will that work?
It’s Super Bowl Sunday. I don’t really care about football except that my husband is in several pools so I want whoever makes us the money to win. For the last six or eight years we’ve been going to a friend’s house to watch the game. It is a pot luck and everybody brings something. Not sure what we’re going to take today – I let my hubby decide that. I am an introvert and even though they are friends, I get a little anxious every time we go. Still, I’m the good wife and I know my husband likes me there so what I usually do is bring some sort of craft to work on. Today it will probably be some coloring. What are you going to do during the game today?

Hi Janet, again thank you so much for taking part in this year’s “Love Is In Da Blog”. I am starting to plan next years and am wondering if participants want to suggest a prompt for it? Find out more here: https://thebeewrites.com/2019/12/15/calling-for-love-is-in-da-blog-music-prompts/

I stayed home, watched the first half of the game, then went to bed to read. My book was more exciting than the game! I love that song, it’s been years since I heard it. Hope you have a great weekend, Janet! Happy Coloring to you!

Yeah, even the half time show was terrible in my opinion. I’m seriously considering staying home next year and spending the time in my craft room – oh yeah, by next year I’ll have my studio!

Love this song! I thought about using it as well, but somehow I knew someone else would use it. Excellent share π

Thanks Mary. I think I remember the older version but I like the way Robert Plant sings it.

This song has been around for a long time, and it stands the test of time. Such a beautiful melody.

Right? I remember it from when I was little.

I am going to read and watch just for the commercials and halftime π

Even the halftime show was not anything special as far as I was concerned. The only thing that made it worthwhile is that my hubby won the final score on the biggest pool we were in! He’s gonna share with me π

OMG I haven’t heard that one in ages. I think it fits the bill perfectly for both though. It’s brilliantly kitsch and I love it π thanks for sharing ππ

I am going to Buffalo Wild Wings to get some take out for the game. I love Robert Plant’s voice and the instruments are nice in this song.

Yes, I thought so too. The hubs has fallen in love with the wings from a local pizza place so he may get some of those.
