Just another quick one because the Love Is In Da Blog prompt for today is music from the 1950’s and I was born in 55 so I’ll choose the song that was #1 the day I was born:
Sincerely by the Maguire Sisters
’cause I love you so dearly, please say you’ll be mine
Sincerely, oh you know how I love you
I’ll do anything for you, please say you’ll be mine
I love that fella so
He doesn’t want me
But I’ll never never never never let him go!
I’ll do anything for you, please say you’ll be mine
I love that fella so
He doesn’t want me
But I’ll never never never never let him go!

So fun – I love the picture of them in their dresses. I’m glad we don’t have to dress up like that anymore, but there is a long-lasting appeal to the styles of the ’50s!

I can remember my mom and sisters wearing dresses like that.

Thanks for stopping by Derrick. I didn’t reach my teens until the 60s but I remember these songs from my parents and older sisters.

I’ve never heard this song, but it *screams* 1950s. The lyrics are bit scary… they won’t let him go? Who are these women, stalkers? 😉

LOL, Ally. How could those girls be scary?

I’m telling you, those lyrics of never letting that guy go… all that pretend kindness… people are not always what they seem! 😳
