Our friend Bee at Love Is In Da Blog asks for love songs from a movie. I can’t narrow it down to just one but I was able to stop at two. Both can make me cry. Evergreen from A Star is Born – the one with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson which I think I need to see again since we just watched the new version.
Love fresh as the morning air
One love that is shared by two
I have found with you
Like a rose under the April snow
I was always certain love would grow
Love ageless and evergreen
Seldom seen by two
You and I will
Make each night the first
Everyday a beginning
Spirits rise and their dance is unrehearsed
They warm and excite us
‘Cause we have the brightest love
Two lights that shine as one
Morning glory and midnight sun
Time, we’ve learned to sail above
Time, won’t change the meaning of one love
Ageless and ever, evergreen
I’ve hungered for your touch
A long, lonely time
Time goes by so slowly
And time can do so much
Are you still mine?
I need your love
I need your love
God speed your love to me
To the sea, to the sea
To the open arms of the sea
Lonely rivers sigh
“Wait for me, wait for me”
I’ll be coming home, wait for me
I’ve hungered, for your touch
A long, lonely time
Time goes by so slowly
And time can do so much
Are you still mine?
I need your love
I need your love
God speed your love to me
Can’t spend too much time playing today. Work calls. What’s your favorite love song from a movie?

I love both of those songs! They make me cry, too.

I would say it’s because of the movie but I’ve cried just hearing them on the radio!

Can’t go wrong with Barbra Streisand! I saw the movie back then, and would like to see the updated one, too. Lovely song! 🙂

Great choices, Janet, even though I have to admit I’m not a particular fan if either films. But the music is awesome!!!! 🙋🐝

Sometimes the music is better than the movie! Thanks again, Bee, for this fun month of music.

Mine has to be How Deep is Your Love from Saturday Night Fever…yes, I was a Bee Gee groupie. 🙂 I’ve never seen A Star is Born…I know, that’s bad for a romance writer. 🙂

Really Jill, none of them? I think I liked the Barbra/Kris version better but I want to see it again just to be sure, although I think Bradley Cooper is cuter than Kristofferson. I like the Bee Gees too. Barry Gibb did some marvelous duets with Barbra Streisand as well.
