I’m a few days late in posting my theme but to be honest, I’m not entirely ready for this adventure. Last year I had everything planned far in advance and pictures taken for every letter. This year not so much. I’ve been able to move my craft room from inside our house to a new studio that we built for me in our backyard but I just finished the last bit of transferring yesterday and there are still a few odds and ends that I have to organize before I can be truly functional again. My second Sketchbook project is due at the end of March as well and I’m gonna give it my best shot to make that deadline too.
I am looking forward to the A to Z since this year is the 10th anniversary of the challenge. I’ve been doing it since 2016 and it has really been fun. I know the only really pressure is whatever I put on myself and there was one year that I didn’t quite finish on time but I went back and added the missing letters so that I would be able to say that at least I finished the alphabet.
Because I haven’t been able to actually craft anything since February, I’ve decided to make this year’s A to Z about cards and mini-albums. I’m going to take you through the alphabet making a card for each letter. Some may be the typical – B is for Birthday Card – but I promise to find some unusual uses/types of cards. This will also help me increase my Etsy inventory which has been neglected during the transition.
Of course I think sending cards by mail is much nicer than using e-cards but I’m probably biased π I promise no obnoxious selling techniques but if you should happen to like a card, arrangements can be made…
Make sure to visit the A to Z Challenge headquarters to sign up for the adventure this year. Hope to see you a lot next month!

Great to meet you through the A – Z challenge. Good luck with it all, I’m not entirely organised either! Have fun.

I’m so intrigued by the A-Z challenge. I must not be able to put the pieces together, I can’t figure out what it is all about?! So each blogger connects to it, but they have their own theme they write about for each letter of the alphabet for the month of April? Help…why is it so hard for me to figure it out? Like you need more things to do. I love your theme by the way! Those cards are adorable!

Correct Shelley! There is a main list of all the bloggers who are participating and what their blogs are about. Some people pick themes and I find it easier to do that but others just wing it and pick anything to write about, as long as it starts with the letter of the day. For example, if you had no theme, you could pick a word or subject that starts with the letter A and write about it on the first day. The second day you take something that starts with a B and write about that. If you wanted to use a theme, you could do the A to Z of Wisconsin and then find something about Wisconsin that starts with each letter of the alphabet. We skip Sundays. When I last looked at the list there were over 400 bloggers who had signed up! Naturally I won’t be able to check out 400 posts each day but I do try to find one or two new ones who are writing about subjects I enjoy. It is a great way to meet other bloggers. My last A to Z was about all the things you could find at a Michael’s Arts and Crafts Store since I was working there when I started the challenge. The recap of that is here if you want to check it out: https://asmile4ufromjanet.blogspot.com/2018/05/blogging-from-to-z-2018-reflections.html

Thank you, Janet! You’re so helpful. Now I just need to see if I can come up with a theme or not or if I have the time to participate. Sure looks like fun! Your recap was wonderful and it looks like it was a success for you!

Good idea! And hey, we don’t mind if you make a little money off the challenge. A lot of people do.
