Rocktober Music Fest – 2019 – Scorpions Rock You Like a Hurricane

Day 2 of #RMF and my offering is the Scorpions, Rock You Like A Hurricane.

We’ve seen the Scorpions several times, including the very first concert we went to as a couple way back in 1982!  It was a Day on the Green at the Oakland Coliseum and sadly I have no pictures from that day, but here is a scrapbook page I made.  I loved that T-shirt!

I was looking for the scrapbook pages of the concerts we have been to in the last few years but it seems like I haven’t made any!  That will never do.  Here instead are some pictures I took.

And a video:

Have a peek at the other Rocktober participants!  Happy Wednesday šŸ™‚

Great post, with fabulous photos of a fantastic band! šŸ’– (Their hometown, Hannover, is only a couple of hours away from mine.) Scorpions have such a huge and varied catalogue and one of the best stage shows around. Love the psychedelic lights! And, the new drummer is cool, too. Thanks for sharing your memories, Janet. 🤘

Thanks Debbie! At the last show we went to, they sang a song that we had not heard before and fell in love with it, “We Built This House.” It captures the way my husband and I feel about each other.

  2. Janet,

Scorpion is an awesome band! I always liked their mewsic and I really had no idea who they were until I began blogging. That’s been the story of my life, not really knowing a group by name unless it was a band I listened to frequently. I don’t know why that is but that’s the way it’s been for me but I’m trying to do better about that now. Of course, the newer artists which honestly there aren’t many to get excited about I sorta gloss over their names, too. I guess I’ll have to take baby steps to get this right. Great to have you play along in RMF!

Thanks Cathy! I have an easier time remembering the names of the band than I do the actual members of the group. I am getting a little better with that. I agree with you about the newer artists.

Oh my gosh, are they still rocking???? You know, a teacher of my ex-husbands was in the Scorpions but left just before they got famous because “music doesn’t pay the bills” 😁. I always connect them with tje fall of the wall. Good grief those were the days šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļøšŸ
