Now in November…

Decisions decisions. I’m at 97% capacity here on WP. What to do? If I want to keep posting, I’ll need to either delete old posts or pay for more space. One is time consuming and potentially damaging to a whole lot of recent posts since I link back a lot. The other is costly, although technically since I write about my Etsy shop I can use it as a business expense. How long will 3% last?

We haven’t gotten a prompt for today officially so I’m winging it. Whether we like it or not, Christmas is coming. I know some people like to give gift cards to folks like the mailman, the hairdresser, the teacher, people like that and I don’t think that is a bad thing. I also don’t think that it has to be a plain, boring present. These are some gift card holders that I make in case you want to order a few to have on hand.

I love the little snowmen best I think. Which do you like? Do you give gift cards as presents? Have you upgraded your WP to be able to add more media? Lemme know!

  1. I have gotten in the habit (finally) of making my photos smaller before posting by “tinifying” them with TinyPNG. It’s free and easy… and saves a ton of space. Now, I just have to go back and do the same thing with my prior posts.

Thanks! I have been looking for a creative project. I checked out the Studio Journal and purchased the winter version. I’m looking forward to being creative in new ways.

  3. Wow, they are GORGEOUS! I never send cards anymore, though. I used to love doing it, but at some point, it started feeling like a burden, I guess, and I quit doing it.

Thanks! If it doesn’t make you feel good then it’s not worth it. I love making them and I hope it makes people feel good to get one that I’ve made.

These are adorable!! I love gift cards because it’s easy to get something that I enjoy from it. I wish we weren’t doing gifts this year but my mother forced the issue, and since my brother and (soon to be, he bought the ring yesterday) fiance will be doing the holidays together we are changing things to fit in the newest family member. I just hate that I have to accept gifts that I hate lol like if a person knows me well enough to get me something, then please do it! But if you are just guessing, chances are it will end up in my donation box.

I understand that. Don’t you make lists for each other? I find what I like and then give the links or pictures to my husband and kids so I usually get what I want – LOL

Oh yes, I make lists. But I tend to be EXACT in my lists. One year I wanted some guitar things and a lamp for my room. The case I got was fabric (wanted hard), the strap was this gross Avril Laveinge (or whatever her last name is) plasticy pink and plastic checkers (wanted simple classic leather), and the lamp was something you’d find in my grandmother’s retirement home not my 16 year old bedroom. I had to return literally EVERY GIFT and it cos me like an extra $100 to get the styles I wanted. So after that I have been sooooo specific. Except my mom gets me things she thinks match my style and personality but really its hers and my brother only gives gifts that he thinks will be useful and reflect his personality with the person? Thank goodness my dad is getting my gift this year LOL

Awww, I like the snowmen and gloves alike. Super cute!
I hope you get to sell enough of them so you can afford to pay for more storage. Deleting old posts would suck, and so would transferring your blog to another platform.

Our friends and family no longer exchange holiday gifts, so no gift cards needed. We each give to a charity of our choice instead. I have a WP business plan which is pricey but might be why I never run out of space. 🤷‍♀️

Those are super cute, I love the snowmen. Gift cards are a great idea for teens!

Is your issue about storage space? There’s a plug in called Short Pixel that will compress all your images automatically, that might help if you have access to it.
