While I have to be careful with the hubby if we are driving around and he sees a sign saying Yard Sale, we have done rather well the few times we have participated in our city’s Clean Sweep huge yard sale that they hold in the park. I don’t think they did it the last couple of years but this was from the most recent one we participated in. Hubby was selling his tools and I had tons of clothes and other household stuff that I wasn’t using so we packed it up and spent the day in the park. Well, I should say I spent the day in the park. Tools, which was what Bill had to sell, seemed to go much quicker than my things so he was done in a few hours!
I typically schedule a PARCA or Salvation Army pickup for the next day and anything that didn’t sell gets donated. I figure that if I’m ready to sell it, I don’t need it and why try to fit it back in the house?
Yoga may seem like it belongs with exercise but I consider it more of a meditation kind of thing and I have seen where couples do yoga moves together to strengthen their relationship. Here are some if you’re interested.
And finally there is YouTube. Hubby is always looking up various musical groups and when he finds something that particularly intrigues him he’ll come and share it with me. Or, it may be an old song from our past and we’ll watch it together. In addition to music though, he’s learned to find how-to’s to fix things around the house and that is very helpful.
Okay, I may get my Z post up later today as we have to head out early tomorrow morning for the wedding we are going to. It is a 3-1/2 hour drive so we’re leaving kind of early. I think I’d rather post it today than wait until Sunday. That way I can relax and enjoy the weekend.

I used to love rummaging around for “finds” but these days we have absolutely no space, so I tend avoid things like yard sales. Himself is our YouTube fiend, we watch an awful lot of it for information and entertainment – so that one was a very good call on your part.

I hear you about the yard sale “finds”. I was not kidding about having to keep my husband away from them!

Yard Sales are tricky. You go there with the best intentions of getting rid of your stuff, and more often than not, you end up coming home with other stuff 😉 I do think it’s fun to go, watch and connect with people.

The key for me is Not to walk around. I stay by my stuff the whole time. LOL

I don’t use it as much as I could.

We had a big garage sale for our swim team at my old house. People from the team donated items. Everything that didn’t sell we loaded into a truck and took to a local charity thrift shop.

That’s wonderful. Both ways a winning outcome. I am always glad to see the donation truck take away our gently used things.

The swim team also does an annual fundraiser for the organization Angel View. Their thrift shops benefit their homes for crippled children (who grow into adults and are so severely handicapped their parents can’t take care of them.)

A city-wide sale in the park – how clever! Of course, only if you don’t come home with more than you got rid of. 🙂 Have a wonderful time at the wedding tomorrow, and definitely relax. It’s been a month, hasn’t it?!

Thanks Deborah, yes it has. But then we should know that April is always like this, right?

A community yard sale would be fun. Around here ones held on your property are frowned upon now. Too many burglaries as a result of inviting strangers onto your property– who buy a trinket while casing your house.

Shady characters everywhere. The only downside to the community one in the park is the loading and unloading. Much easier to just drag the stuff into your driveway. But having it in the park affords a lot more viewers.

We both enjoy yard sales… even though hubby has lots of tools, he’s always drawn to look! I enjoy rambling through looking for things I don’t need… 😂 and always finding something. He was amazed fitter time he discovered how to repair something on you tube and by a woman. She was right, and he fixed the car! I can easily fall down the rabbit hole on you tube… enjoy watching Kate and the last homely house and Arne and Carlos.

I am mostly watching crafting videos but do like music too. Hubby was pleasantly surprised to find a way to fix our dryer, although he still insists we keep all manuals that come with the gadgets.
