It is time for the big A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal!
For the last two years I’ve been participating in the A to Z Challenge with several hundred others and I’ve posted about that a few days ago.
Jacqui Murray of WordDreams actually gave me the idea for this theme when I first started working at Michaels in September last year. Thanks, Jacqui!
My word for the year is Create and I am guessing that working in a store “Where Creativity Happens” is pretty in line with that idea.
So, in my Blogging from A to Z Challenge for 2018 I’m going to take you behind the scenes at Michaels Arts and Crafts store and introduce you to all the different things you may not have realized about this establishment.
Of course there are the usual items one might find in a craft store such as crayons and paints but it really is much more than that. I’m hoping you’ll learn something new and maybe it will inspire you to visit a store and get your craft on!
There is still plenty of time to join the challenge, which runs through April, feel free to come along. You can find all the details
here. It should be another fun month.

LOL I know what you mean. It hasn’t been as bad as it might have been working there. I don’t get there too early and by the time I’m done working I’m just ready to go home, not shop ๐ Thanks for coming along!

Thanks John. I just figured out how to adapt if IFTTT fails to transfer my posts too so I don’t have to stress about that!

I like your theme. The equivalent in the UK is probably Hobbycraft. I have to limit my visits!

It can get expensive! I made a deal with myself that I would get two paychecks before I started shopping! Now, all bets are off ๐

I am terrible at crafts but enjoy visiting craft stores to look at the wide range of products there. My older daughter is very artistic, so we’ve made many trips to Michaels. ๐

It can get to be a very addicting place I must say! Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks Ally. I was almost having second thoughts because I thought maybe it would be boring to other people ๐

LOL there are Michaels stores all over the US and Canada so maybe there is one near you! Of course you won’t get MY great customer service but almost all employees are pretty helpful. ๐

LOL I have to be careful because if they (corporate) doesn’t like what I say I could get in trouble! Thanks again for the idea.

OMG ๐ฎ I had no idea that is where you worked. I absolutely love, love, love ๐ that store. Iโm even thinking of starting up a new blog, โPattiโs Pretty Planner.โ I buy a lot of my planning supplies there and the husband gets his canvases there too. I would make no money ๐ฐ there if I That was my job. Great topic, Iโll be following โฅ๏ธ. Good luck, Mz. Janet. Have a great week, Blessings โฅ๏ธ

Yes, Patti, it was very difficult not to spend my first paycheck there! They have tons of great planning supplies. Washi tape was on sale this past week, $4.99 for what is regularly a $14.99 tube! I had to get some more!

Is that sale still going on ๐
