Most of this A to Z 10th Anniversary Challenge I’ve been showing you the cards I make. Yesterday I talked about the mini-albums that are a favorite of mine as well. Today is sort of a combination of the two of those.
I called it the Name Game because I take the letters in the person’s first name and use descriptive words or phrases to celebrate them. I made the first one for my cousin, Lynda, on the occasion of her birthday.
I think everyone likes to see their names on things, I know I do. These make great card/keepsakes for people who have everything and don’t need or want presents for their birthdays or who are going through some tough times and need to know people are thinking about them. Plus, these are small and don’t take up much space.
It was relatively easy to find descriptive adjectives and phrases for these names. Can you think of a name that might be harder? So far I have just made these as personal gifts but I’m thinking of adding them to my Etsy site. What would be a good name for them? Would you buy something like this for a friend or relative?
Plenty of time left to visit the other A to Z folk. Stop by tomorrow for the letter “O” although truthfully I have no idea what I’m gonna talk about!

Those are so cute! I love the doll baby on the cover for Amy. What a sweetie. I really like how the grayed backgrounds make those tints pop!

I forgot to take a picture before I sent it to her and this is from the collage that she posted online. You can’t really tell but the little girl on the cover is 3-D. I was really pleased with how this one turned out.

Not quite, John, although I thought of the song when I used the title π

Janet,
This is a nifty idea! I like what you did with each of these occasions and I know the person receiving such uNique haNd-stamped cards. Nice job! π

You must have a specific cutter to cut that out with?

The base is made of cardboard or chipboard and comes pre-cut. Some of the individual embellishments I did use my Slice machine for.

Those are really cute, and a great idea! For awhile I was making those little wooden box purses for myself and my girls. It was about the same as your booklets, by adding little photos, sayings, and embellishments on the outside and inside surfaces. Plus they could put keepsakes inside. Fun to do! π

I love all of the bright and pastel colors, Janet. How is the new space coming along? π

Thanks Jill. The studio is all built. I am almost finished organizing things. I brought some more stuff from the house out to the studio and I am finding places for it, giving some away and trying to sell some others. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to post some pictures – maybe a video!
