Another Sunday already. The prompts for today from Jim are Did/Didn’t/Do/Don’t/Does/Doesn’t. Lots of ways to go with this but I’m gonna use Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start The Fire.”
We were able to see Billy Joel twice, the first time he was alone but the second time was with Elton John when they did their Face to Face tour. Both times were great and he did this song.

If PG&E decide to use this song for anything, I look forward to the lawsuit from Billy Joel’s attorneys! Kind of makes me smile just thinking about that scenario.

LOL yes Ally. That would be hysterical.

I love this song! This is my favorite song for the Piano Man. It is because of the energy. People say the lyrics are nonsense, but I love the energy! Especially during the “Trouble in the Suez” part!

Yes! Definitely a get up and dance song. I think the lyrics are cool.

Great choice, Janet! We need an updated version for each generation because people forget too easily.
And I’d like Billy Joel to sing them all, please and thank you! 😄

I want to keep up so badly when I sing along but I’m a beat behind. Oh well. There is always the chorus. And they’re used to my Sunday shenanigans around here. Great choice Janet :).

I know, right? Even with the words in front of me!

Thanks, Paula. With all the fires we’ve been having around here lately it kinda just popped out there.

Love this song – so many historical references. That video was really good – if you blink you’ll miss a part. He should do an updated one with the years since this one came out. I read it was the years 1949 to 1989 that he covered.
Cool y’all got to see the concerts! 🙂

Yes, and those people who want to erase certain parts of history can’t erase the song, right?

Great song Janet. Billy Joel sure does a lot of name dropping in this song. This is a great video.
