Linda is leading the Just Jot January for us again and since today is Wednesday, the prompt is the same as One Liner Wednesday. I’m going to try and find one-liners that have to do with my Word of the Year, Drive. Here goes:
Sometimes the best therapy is a long drive and music. (From Lessonslearnedinlife.com)
Me, circa 1983, in the car I used to get my therapy in. I thought I was so cool. I also think that was pretty close to the goal weight I’m aiming for. At that time I thought I was fat. I was just a kid, what did I know?

Happy New Year, Janet! Catching up on my fun reading. Great 1983 photo. I remember those days.

Thanks Jill. I just saw this comment! It was a total unexpected purchase. I was not looking for a new car and didn’t even know how to drive a stick shift when I bought it!

Driving is good to clear the head but driving and music is the best!!!

But not the radio. I hate commercials so I am glad my car has CarPlay so I can connect to my phone for iTunes.

You are very cool, I was never that cool, never even close to cool.
If only there was some way to explain to young women how not fat their bodies are, and also, how so many things are worse than having extra fat.

This was one of the first few “dates” with my eventually to be husband. He liked taking pictures so we went for a drive and stopped by the side of the road to take this and a couple others. I agree about the body perception. Interesting how thinking you are fat can sometimes lead to the actual weight gain.

Did husband take the picture? Because that adds a little something, doesn’t it? You looked fantastic, truly.

Yes, he did. I suppose I was trying to look sexy?

I traded in my Silver Gremlin for this baby TR7. Probably should have kept the Gremlin!

Janet,
I never thought I was cool. lol We all think at one time or another that we’re fat. I know I certainly feel that way after the holidays. It’s time to kick myself into gear with exercise and eating more sensibly. 🙂 I hope the Lord blesses with you all things good – health, happiness, and success in all you do. Happy New Year, dearie! xx

Nothing better than a long drive to clear the mind. I put 25,000 miles on one car in one year. Had a lot of thinking to do that year. 🙂
Happy 2020!

I loved to take that car down the winding roads toward Santa Cruz, sunroof open, music on…oh the memories. 🙂
