The #JusJoJan prompt of the day is Mix. Remember mixed tapes? When we had cars with CD players in them (most don’t anymore) I used to make mixed CDs from my iTunes playlist. I even used to make my own covers.
With my last two cars I haven’t needed mixed tapes anymore since my phone plugs into the system but I still get a mix of songs because I keep my iTunes on shuffle mode.

Yes, much better than listening to the radio I think!

Made them on tape cassette off radio and some we already owned. I am wary of cds. Went to transfer my sons young, unreplacible, pictures on a cd so I could switch computers. Apparently different cds do different things. I lost all my pictures😭

I’m sorry to hear that! I know that it is possible to put pictures on CDs but I haven’t tried yet.

I think they need to have an R for recordable?

I also remember those mixes. My husband loved to send me mixed tapes while we were dating.

My husband was very romantic. He sent me a tape each week with a new mix of music and short readings from the Bible too.

Stupid new cars don’t have cd players — YES I made mixed cds, and how! I enjoy playlists, I do, Apple Music, lalala, but sometimes I miss the cds.

I know what you mean, Joey, and not everyone has smart phones, right? OMG to have to listen to just the radio? Torture.

My survey posts are a lot like mix tapes. In fact, a lot of my playlists are. Never made them back in the day, though.

While I listened to mix tapes and would record songs off the radio, by the time I was old enough to want to make my own mix, it was already into the CD era lol but I have made LOTS of mixed cds haha!

I’m so much older than you, I remember trying to catch the songs on the radio with my old tape recorder.

LOL I used to do that too! Not a lot and I was like 10? My thing was playing cds on the computer and transferring them to tapes so we could listen to them on our tape deck. But then playing games while it did it because you literally had to play the whole cd and then the tape would have the game sounds from the computer on it! 😂
My very first music gift was Jennifer Lopez’s first “If you had my love” album on cassette tape! 😂
