It is interesting that even though the Doobie Brothers band was formed right down the road from me, they’ve never been in my top 10 favorite list. They do have quite a following though and we saw them as part of a huge “Day on the Green” type event a few years ago. There were five bands that played that day, Tower of Power, Steve Miller, Santana and Journey being the other four.
I wish that Michael McDonald had been singing with them but he wasn’t. Still it was a good prep for the rest of the show and got the crowd up and moving. We had some pretty decent seats on the field a little to the right of the stage.

As you can see, this show was from 2016 and it is not in the scrapbook yet! When I did the other A to Z music scrapbooking themes I jumped around in years and it is taking me some time to fill in the gaps. That’s why this time I decided just to go with what I had instead of trying to rush the scrapbooking. Next month I’m going to a scrapbooking weekend with my girlfriend and I’ll take the concert albums with me to work on. I think at this point I’m only chronologically up to 2011!
Not sure why but I have no video from this group. Maybe I was trying to conserve battery and memory space and I knew it was going to be a long day.

YAAAAHHH the Doobie Brothers!!! I love them but have never seen them. But when I’m in the kitchen cooking I always say, “Alexa, play me some Doobie Brothers” and she does. Luck you!

Despite not being a Doobies fan I am loving being reminded about these bands, many of which take me back to those formative ( and sometimes wild) years. Thank you.

I was a young adult in the 1970’s and I loved the Doobie Brothers. We owned their greatest hits album, back when albums were vinyl. I would have loved to have been at that 2016 mega-concert. Alana ramblinwitham

We still have some vinyls and might even have one of theirs. The show was really good!

I didn’t know they were from the Bay Area. Me too! Not now, I moved to OR. Being a teen in the 70s, I know their music, but never much of a fan.

Hi! We relocated my MIL from Oregon to live next door to us last year. She was in Redmond. I can take them or leave them.

I would have loved to see Santana and Steve Miller. I did see Doobie Brothers in high school with my best friend. She was a huge fan. I wasn’t but went to spend time with her.

Yes, even though I said they don’t make my top 10 doesn’t mean I’m not out there dancing! LOL

As you say, a shame Michael McDonald wasn’t in the line-up, but fun songs to sing along with.

I would love to see Michael McDonald. He did a tour once with Boz Scaggs and Donald Fagan that I would love to see.
