Well hello blogging buddies. How is everyone doing? It seems that I have been out of the loop for quite some time since my last post was the recap from the A to Z!
Here’s a bit of what’s been happening since then…
We went on our first ever cruise! Had so much fun going to Alaska. We saw the Hubbard Glacier and stopped at Icy Straight, Juneau and Ketchikan. Went through the airport at Vancouver, BC so I can even say I’ve been to Canada now! Since it was in May I told them it was for our anniversary and the last day they gave us a bottle of champagne. We highly recommend Celebrity Cruise line! Our friend and travel agent, Karen Fitting from Marvelous Mouse Travels helped us make it happen. She is the best at getting us the deals and making everything work so smoothly. We had such a good time that we have booked a cruise to Hawaii next year!

In fact, cruising might just overtake concert going as we have only been to 2 concerts! We didn’t go to ANY at the Mountain Winery which has been our go-to venue for years. We saw Toto with Christopher Cross and the Romantics in August and in September we went on the spur of the moment to see Deep Purple, Jefferson Starship and Kansas. Toto was best of all. Of the other three, Jefferson Starship was by far better than either Deep Purple or Kansas. Definitely would not see them again. On a positive note though, I think I may have seen enough shows to do another A to Z next year on them! We do have one more coming up, Journey in November. Probably will be the last time we see them too.

In addition to the concerts, I went to a couple of Giants games. Sadly our season did not go very well but once a fan, always a fan and I will be there to support them again next year.
I had the exciting experience of going with our youngest daughter to help her pick out her wedding dress! She is getting married in April of next year.
And the most recent news is that I have had a right knee replacement! Today is two weeks since the surgery and I am doing pretty well. The staples will come out tomorrow. I’ve already had a couple of physical therapy home visits and have been able to get out to my studio!

While I am happy that my surgery should eliminate the knee pain that I’ve been having and enable me to enjoy life more, I am a little sad that it is happening during my busiest craft season! Usually I am involved in at least 4 or 5 holiday boutiques but I didn’t sign up for any since I wasn’t sure how long it would take my knee to heal. I did make some things for the Etsy shop…

And there you have it. Not sure when I’ll post again but hopefully you’ll stop by again when I do! What’s been happening in your corner of the world?
Oh yeah, one more thing…I VOTED!!! Hopefully you all have as well. Crossing fingers for the bluest wave the country has ever seen!

Hi, Janet! Good to hear from you and catch up with all your news. The cruise sounded wonderful and lots of fun seeing all the sights. .. Congratulations for your daughter and her upcoming wedding! … Wishing you the best with your recovery for your knee -less pain and more mobility, too. š
