The prompt from Linda for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is the word “Ground.” I’ve got the perfect link to the #RMF!
A couple of years ago we saw Nickelback in concert. They put on a great visual show.
We went to my mom’s old apartment today and took out the last of the big pieces of furniture. There are just a few boxes left for me to get out of there. Ground zero:

Here’s Burn It To The Ground:
I don’t want to burn the old apartment to the ground of course. Glad I have taken some pictures there over the years! Maybe I’ll put together a scrapbook album for my mom for Christmas. I know she just got rid of a ton of stuff that she said she didn’t want anymore but she doesn’t have any pictures of the places she has lived and if it is just a small album, maybe she’s enjoy it and it won’t take up too much space. I’ll have to think about that.
Happy Saturday all ๐

A scrapbook sounds like a wonderful idea. That’s one of my favourite Nickelback songs. Thanks! ๐ Nice photos, too. Nickleback is one band I haven’t had a chance to see live (yet). Have a good week!

Thanks Debbie. I wasn’t sure about them at first but they do have some songs I really like.

I agree, a scrapbook would be a wonderful keepsake. It’s hard to leave familiar places so a scrapbook of memories would be a wonderful gift.

Thanks Laura. She gave away so much of her stuff but I have a feeling she is sorry about that now. Maybe it would give her something to look at once in a while.

That’s a great thing you’re doing for your mother, and for yourself and other loved ones. It’s good to remember key places in your life like that. Good choice of song!

I think the scrapbook would make a wonderful keepsake for your mother, Janet.

Thanks Jill. She gave away (to us girls) all of her photographs and photo albums. The only thing she has now is a picture of the four of us girls and some of her great/grandchildren on the wall.

Well, with your creative talent, you’ll be able to turn the photos into a beautiful gift.

I was listening to Nickelback the other night with a friend. We were talking about how everyone always talks bad about them, but they really are a pretty decent band. I had another friend that referred to them as “Angry White Girl Music”. but she was also quick to add she wouldn’t kick Chad out of her bed if he was there.
I like your scrapbook idea. Taking photos is something that I just don’t do enough of. It’s good to have some memories.

Yes, I’ve heard some bad things about them too and some of the lyrics of their songs are questionable to me but there are a couple that I really like.
