Fabulous February – 2020 – #1SEME and Song Lyric Sunday

In 2013 and 2017 I did a 365 day picture project where I took a picture every day for the whole year.  I put those pictures into an album and for the 2017 one I even made a slideshow.  This year I heard about the 1 Second Everyday app where you take a 1 second video everyday so I decided to try it.  Here is my January in 31 seconds.

I have captions underneath the pictures but you may not be able to see them that well.  I have the free app so I don’t think there is a way for me to edit each picture to include a bigger caption.  I’m not paying for the pro version so I may just have to figure out something else.  In any case, I think this is going to be a fun experiment and at the end of the year I’ll have a 6.1 minute recap.  Talk about how time flies!
For our Song Lyric Sunday prompt Jim gives us Babe/Cutie/Doll/Honey/Sweetie and I love this song by Styx.  It was written by then Styx member Dennis DeYoung to his wife, Suzanne as a birthday present.  I’ll be surprised if I’m the only one who uses it today.
  “Babe”

Babe, I’m leaving, I must be on my way
The time is drawing near
My train is going, I see it in your eyes
The love, the need, your tears
But I’ll be lonely without you
And I’ll need your love to see me through
Please believe me, my heart is in your hands
And I’ll be missing you

You know it’s you Babe
Whenever I get weary and I’ve had enough
Feel like giving up
You know it’s you Babe
Giving me the courage and the strength I need
Please believe that it’s true
Babe, I love you

You know it’s you Babe
Whenever I get weary and I’ve had enough
Feel like giving up
You know it’s you Babe
Giving me the courage and the strength I need
Please believe that it’s true
Babe, I love you

Babe, I’m leaving, I’ll say it once again
Somehow try to smile
I know the feeling we’re trying to forget
If only for a while
Cause I’ll be lonely without you
And I’ll need your love to see me through
Please believe me, my heart is in your hands
Cause I’ll be missing you
Babe, I love you
Babe, I love you
Oh, Babe

We’ve seen Styx a couple of times.  They put on a pretty good show.  This was from 2010.  Wow, 10 years ago!  I’ve gotten a better camera since then!

Happy February 2!

    Janet,

Styx is a great 70s band! You ought to hit the 4M dance floor with this one, purrfect ‘love song’ for this week’s theme! πŸ˜‰

Very interesting information, Janet. First time I have heard about the one second video app. I have this song and other songs by Styx on playlists. I did not know the meaning behind the song. Thank you!

I know of a couple of other people who are doing the one second thing. It is kinda fun to see a month in a second. We’ll see if I’m able to keep it up! Styx has some really classic songs don’t they?

I might have told you this, but Styx played at a dance at Mary’s high school. Would have been in the early ’70’s. Weird, huh? Good song!

  8. Janet I think this is my favorite Styx song, although I do like a lot of their other music. Perfect for the prompt today.
