Well folks I’m back in action again. I bit the bullet and paid for the WP upgrade. Now just try and shut me up – LOL.
Linda’s #JusJoJan prompt by way of Wendy is surviving. I’m surviving the loss of my mom as well as can be expected. I am sure that it will still hit me occasionally but having lots of transcription to do and working in the studio has helped a lot. We are also surviving another hit by the covid demon. Thank goodness all of us are vaccinated. Interestingly it hit the one of the four who was not boosted. I don’t know if we will ever figure out the way this thing seems to pick and choose who to hook on to.
So, since I upgraded, I think I can now add videos to my posts! We had a phenomenon yesterday that rarely happens. I live very close to SFO and the planes are always flying overhead OUT of the airport.
Yesterday they were flying IN to SFO. Makes it a little scarier to see them coming down faster and faster.
I mean, that’s the roof of my studio!
Speaking of the studio, I spent some time there yesterday making some new boxes for Valentine’s Day.
I really like the way they turned out and since I didn’t actually say Valentine’s Day in any of the embellishments, they can be used for all kinds of occasions. They are already listed in the Etsy Shop.

I have two more to do today.
Well, I feel better about spending the money to upgrade already. Now we’ll have to see how the videos simulcast on my Blogger site. Hope you all have an excellent rest of your weekend. Thanks for stopping by. Let me know what you think about the boxes. I’ll be making more for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Birthdays. What other occasion can you think of? I’d love ideas.
Congratulations on your upgrade! I’m still working hard to master the mysteries of WordPress…
Those boxes are so sweet (pun intended š )! Did you know today was national peanut brittle day?

Hi! No, I did not know about peanut brittle day. I used to search for those types of holidays to write about on the blog. I may start that up again. Thanks for the tip and for stopping by!

Beautiful work! Our new house is about a half mile from a heavily traveled interstate. We bought during the pandemic and although we sat outside to see how loud it was, it didn’t seem loud. Well, that’s because no one was on the roads. We are slowly getting used to it. Can’t hear anything inside but our deck is noisy.

Yes, we have the freeway, the airport and the train all within a half mile of us. Thank goodness for our double paned windows and heavy doors paid for by the airport!

You seem to be very close to SFO, and getting all of the engine noise too. The aircraft will come from either direction based on the current wind direction at the airport. It’s the same thing here for KLAS, or LAS in Las Vegas. I’m sorry for your loss, my mother passed in 2012. It’s something that becomes part of you. I still cry about my mom these years later.

Reminds me of planes just barely clearing the fence into Midway Airport in Chicago
So, what plan are you on now?

Right now I am on the premium plan at $96/year. We’ll see how that goes. I am learning about how to be able to collect money on the site and how to integrate it more with Pinterest so when I post pictures of the stuff I make, people can buy right from here instead of going to my Etsy shop if they would rather. That way I can claim it as a business expense. The next step is about double the money and I’m not sure I need to do that yet.

I grew up in an area that was under the flight path. I remember my elementary school teachers having to stop their lessons as the planes went over. Thank goodness our house now is well away… I can only see the planes in the distance. I love your boxes!

We got lucky that when we bought our house they were doing a noise abatement program and the airport paid for all new double paned windows and heavy doors so the noise from inside is pretty minimal. Thank goodness because on the other side of our house is the train!

Yaay you upgraded!
Your boxes are so so cute! Its very smart to not write Valentine’s day on any of them!!
You could also do like a friendship day box (maybe some friendship quotes and say things like- You’re the Joey to my Chandler/ You’re the Rachel to my Monica)

Oh yes! Great idea. Thanks.

Your sky is so blue! We occasionally get low-flying planes over us as they start their descent into the airport. Trippy, so to speak. Glad you upgraded. More pics, yay!

Thanks Ally. I can tell you that right after 911 when the skies were off limits to planes it was eerily quiet around here! You get used to some things, you know?

Nice videos! Cute little box cards, too.
Those airplanes seem so close! Reminds me of our house when I was a kid. We lived just south of the airport and they flew right over our house like that. We could see and wave to the people inside the planes! haha! š

It sure seems like the people on the plane could see us! Sometimes we talk about writing some message on our roof – LOL.

I LOVE your Valentine’s Day Boxes, so very cute!
Congratulations on deciding in favor of the upgrade, I appreciate blogs that come with pictures. As they like to say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Imagine how you can save on your writing now, hahaha!
Interestingly Covid hit the one of the three who was not boosted. It was not recommended for his age group, and he got punished š¦ BOO.

He could have gotten the booster, just didn’t. Since he’s an adult I couldn’t force him and I guess he figured since he was vaccinated that was enough. We know better now? I suggested that when he is over it he might think about getting the booster and he agreed.
