So X-Box is a gaming system that came out in 2001 and you might say that was covered in the post about Video games but this is my blog and I’m using it here too. When hubby and I were in our first apartment together in 1982 we spent many an hour playing Burger Time on what was one of the first systems called Intellivision. While it didn’t happen often, occasionally I even beat him. I wish I had seen this video back then, I really could have used the pointers!
X-O could stand for the game tic-tac-toe, which would be fun to play sometimes but also can get rather boring. X-O is also often used at the end of a letter to stand for hugs and kisses. I have had a few notes from my hubby over the years and these are some of them. While they don’t include the X-O, I definitely feel the love.

I know that by this time you are waiting for X-Rated dating ideas. Since my blog is basically PG there are no pictures of that, I’ll let you use your imagination.
Okay. Y and Z left. Thank goodness.

The X and O were also once representations of religions (X was Christians, O was Jewish). As literacy was banned, most people could not sign their name, and thus “made their mark” by signing with the sign representing their religion. Thus, swearing to their God that their signature was binding.
Okay, enough knowledge drop. 🎮 Pass the controller. What games you got?

Oh very interesting, J. I did not know that about X and O. We don’t play games like that anymore. Maybe we should!

I played a few games. Donkey King, Pac Man and space invaders. I’ll have to look at our letters to see if hubby did the xo thing. I’m sure I did. Half the time he didn’t even sign his name in cards. He’d say you know it’s me ! X rated! Lol I have saw some of that on blogs I popped in on.

I usually sign my things “me” because, I think he should know who “me” is! LOL.

Clever post with all the x’s! I was waiting for something about an ex (boyfriend, husband), but glad you don’t have that! Well, maybe that’s more of an E – ex? Anyway, you got me to smile so thanks!

So glad to hear that, Janie. I do actually have an ex but we were only married for six months. He was a motorcycle rider so I do have some adventures with him and truthfully I forgot or I might have used some of the few pictures I still have from that time.

No X-rated pictures? 😀 If you were still single, you’d be on the receiving end of plenty (unwanted & unasked for). Something to show gratitude to our long suffering other halves for eh? Nearly there…

LOL you’re right Deb. Although to be honest, I have sent some sexts to my hubby when he was with his mom in Oregon for an extended period a few years ago. When he got back I always made sure he had deleted them from his phone!

I’m awful at video games. I think it’s my lack of hand eye coordination. Good job on x. That’s always a tough letter.

I’m with you there, Jill. That’s why I wish I had seen this video before. It gives some clues as to how to handle those pesky critters.

I remember playing Intellivision games too! The home system had funny controllers that seemed lacking to control the game but hey, I was fresh out of high school. My favorite game was Donkey Kong! 😂

My hubby played that one a lot too. I preferred making hamburgers – LOL
