It’s going to be a very short post today as I have lots of work to do and no pictures to share. That’s what happens when I don’t prep for the letters in March like I did when I did my A to Z of San Francisco last year.
Ice skating is one idea for a date. When we were first married my husband joined a Broomball league and I would watch him play. They didn’t wear ice skates but it was at the rink so I’m counting that. And, just to be clear, even though I wasn’t participating in the activity, I still consider it to be a date. I’m really sorry I don’s have pictures of this because it was fun to watch but it was back in the “olden days” when we didn’t have cellphones with cameras, heck we didn’t even have cellphones without cameras, and I didn’t even have a good regular camera then either.
Going for ice cream is something that I DO participate, or at least did before I was watching my carb/sugar intake. We have a couple of places near us. My favorite is mint chocolate chip with hot fudge sauce. Hubby likes vanilla or sometimes chocolate.

And finally I’ll just throw this one out there, indoor rock climbing. We have never done that and honestly I don’t think either one of us would do very well at this stage. There used to be a place about 20 minutes away and the kids went there for birthday parties a couple of times but it has closed.
Okay. Sorry for the lack of details on this one but at least I got something out there. Have a great Monday all.

We live on a lake so ice skating is a big one for us in the winter. And, by “us” I mean my husband. I’m mostly an observer but he grew up playing ice hockey and is still quite good on skates. Weekends In Maine

I was an observer too. We’ve been to some hockey games. It’s a cold sport!

My daughter likes to ice skate, but I am an absolute disaster on skates (no balance, which is why I also don’t ski!) I would watch an ice-hockey match though (I like to experience all forms of live sports at least once). Rock climbing gets a big nay from me, but Himself was a climber and regularly terrifies me with climbing videos and tales of when he did it! But with Ice cream, you’re onto an all out winner 😀 Love it, just love it. We now only buy mini bars in order to restrict all the unhealthy stuff.

We had to travel to Northcross Mall in Austin to ice skate ⛸ I went three times. Lots of fun but oh so cold. The indoor rink didn’t last long. I think the mall closed too.

Ours has been around for quite a while. It closed for a bit when the mall itself was redeveloped but it reopened and is still there.

I’m not one to go skating anymore. I haven’t been since I was a teen. But I am all for an ice cream date!!

Good ideas! I went ice skating once when they put in a rink here in town. Couldn’t even stand up on the things! Guess nobody really liked it though, as the rink closed down very shortly after. I was good at roller skating though. I used to love Mint Choc. chip, too, or sweet cream vanilla. 🙂

Our ice rink closed down for a while too but then they opened it up years later I think. I feel safer with roller skates too!

Well, Janet, there are some things i can relate to here. I used to go ice-skating and my favourite ice cream is the same as yours. The problem is that I find mint choc chip is a tongue-twister so i try to send someone else to ask for it!

LOL. Yes, add the hot fudge sauce and it is a mouthful!

I was too afraid that the thin blades wouldn’t hold me up!

I was a big fan of roller skating as a young girl, and still have my fancy skates complete with pom poms in their carry case. Never went roller skating with hubby but I did try ice skating, but it wasn’t for me. Once around the outside of the rink and I begged to get off as the middle blade was aching my foot. He often took the kids to skate. Ice cream is our fav date and we are long overdue since the Sundae House has already opened for the summer, My fav is vanilla soft ice cream with hot fudge and peanut butter sauce. I just might have to go now since I’m thinking about it, but we are limited ourselves on them now.

Peanut butter sauce? Interesting. I think I went once and did the same thing, hugged the outside rail the whole time. Not fun.
