Z is for Zoo, Zipline, ZZZ

We haven’t been to the zoo in a long time and when we did it was with the kids but you know there’s no reason why a trip to the zoo couldn’t be a date, right? Our zoo is right near the beach so a perfectly planned day could include walking around the zoo and then having a picnic at the beach to watch the sunset!

Even though we were both cool to go on a helicopter ride, I think a zipline adventure would be like the jetski trip to Catalina Island, out of the question. My hubby has done skydiving once but that was before he hurt his back and I’m not sure I’d like to take the chance on having a misadventure so high in the air. If you are interested though, this looks like a really cool place to go and it is near the Sonoma wine country so you could fortify yourself with some wine before you tried the zipline experience.

And finally, there is just plane old catching some ZZZZs. Nothing like a good cuddle in a nice cozy bed or wherever and just taking a nap. After this A to Z, I’m all for that!

So, what do you think? Does this old married lady still have some good ideas for dating or what? Did you like them? Going to try any new ones? Remind you of your dating days? I am so grateful to everyone who stopped by to say hello. I am really going to make an effort to get to some new folks starting next week when things settle down around here. Have a great rest of your weekend. I’m off to a wedding. Which is actually a date that I didn’t mention in the Ws!

Great work on pantsing your way through the alphabet! Our favourite zoo has both red pandas (my favourites) and meercats in open topped enclosures so they’re ideal for us photographers. We’re due another visit soon, but may have to take the grandchildren with us 😀

  3. We visited our zoo not too long ago and had a great time (much better that we can go mid-week and avoid the crowds). I’ve been ziplining before and I’d probably do it again… but it is pretty nerve wracking just before take-off. Congrats on finishing A-Z!

Thanks Janis. I agree that being able to go places during the week when the crowds are less is a great part of being retired/working from home, especially in a city like San Francisco with all the tourists. Grateful for your kind comments.

There is so much to do and see in San Francisco that we never made it to the zoo, even though I love to go see the animals.
I’ll say, after this A – Z we sure deserve some napzzzz!
Congrats on finishing A- Z! So many cool activities (and so little time).

Thanks Tamara. Even though our daughter worked for Starbucks for 5 or 6 years I still learned some new things from you! I’m going to put you in my reflection post as well. 🙂

Congrats on finishing the challenge! I did enjoy the couple posts I read of yours! You had a great theme with the dates 🙂 I think I might try a zipline some day, maybe! It does look like fun! We usually like to go to zoos but for some reason we haven’t been to the Phoenix Zoo yet, where we live, and we’ve been here 6 years. And yes, definitely time for ZZZZs after the crazy month of the challenge! Hope you enjoyed the wedding!

  16. We’ve enjoyed some interesting zoos… some alone and some with the granddaughters. I enjoy the drive-thru ones where the animals come right up to the windows. Those 💤 sound good also! Enjoy the wedding! Yes you forgot that one. 😂
