We had an opportunity to see James Taylor at AT&T Park (now Oracle Park) and he is one of my hubby’s favorites so we went. Opening for him was Bonnie Raitt. As with Melissa Etheridge, we were surprised at how much we enjoyed this show. Blues is not really one of our go to genres but she adds enough rock to it to make it fun. Coincidentally, I used James Taylor for the letter “Y” when I did my concert themed A to Z in 2020!
It is always fun to be able to be on the baseball field at the beautiful home of our San Francisco Giants. We had decent seats too!
James Taylor came out and did a song with Bonnie and then later in the show she came out and did one with him.
I have to laugh, she talks in the very beginning about being cold and putting on her vest again. The coldest winter is a summer in SF, right? Also, sorry about the shaky video but I couldn’t keep from bopping during this song.

I had intended this post to be “Y is for You” because that is a song that Bonnie Raitt sings that I think is really pretty. However, she did not sing it that night and it’s too late for me to change letters around now! So I’m using the “You” in “Need You Tonight” which she did sing. One more letter to go in this year’s A to Z challenge! It’s not an eaZy one either!

What a great concert. I love James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt. Did you see the article written after she won Song of the Year in 2023? The reporter had never heard of her and wrote something like “Unknown artist wins Song of the Year.
